| 2- 2 guests: total number
of logged in Internet bidders that are not approved to bid. The letter
"G" at the right of the username signify that the bidder is a guest.
"{username}" have login without registering. |
| 3- This check box Freeze:
is used to copy the dynamic list of
participants in order to change values like the bidder status(see # 7), the
credit limit and the paddle number. On check, the label "Freeze" and
the contain of the list become blue to notify that the clerk is in the freeze
mode. Note that bidders that login or logout will not be contained in the
freezed list. Un checking the box will return the list into a dynamic mode. |
| 4- List of participants: this
list contains all the participants that are currently logged in for the
auction. Each list item is made of the login name, the status indicator,
the state code, the country code, the last name and the first name. For
the state code or country code, "00" means that the user specified a name which was not part of the standard list.
The possible status indicators are:

"G" Guest, the user can login
to the auction but can't place any bids.
-
"I" Ignore, the user can't even
login to the auction. This status is used only in the "All Users" panel
since he/she can't be part of the logged in bidder's list.

"P" Pending, this is the same as
Guest except that when the user registered he/she specified all the required
information for approval by the auctioneer.
-
A blank character in that position
means that the user is Approved for bidding.

| 5- Find: if you want to search
the logged in user's list for some words, you first specify the type of
search using the drop down list, you then type in the searched words in
the input field(# 6) to its right and press the Enter key. The types of search
are: Any fields, Login name, Email and Name. |
| 7- Ignore, Guest and
Approved: these 3 radio buttons are used to change the
bidder's status. The changes will take effect immediately. If you change
the status of a user to Ignore, that user will receive a popup message
informing him/her that he/she should contact the auctioneer and he/she
will be logged out. This does not cancel previous bids by this user. If
the status is changed from Approved to Guest, the user will now be prevented
from bidding, this does not cancel previous bids. If the status is changed
from Guest to Approved, the user will now be allowed to bid. |
| 8- Login name of
the selected user, it is displayed at the top left of the user’s information
list. |
| 9- Information list:
contains information about the selected user. Any unspecified data is represented
by the name of the data followed by a "?". |
| 10- Bids
report button:
clicking this button opens a browser window with information about all
bids made by this user. If no bids were made an alert pops up. |
11- Credit
limit: input field is used to change the credit limit of a
bidder. If a bidder is declared the winner on a lot and has gone over his
credit limit, a pop up will open with his credit limit, total purchases,
exceeded amount and 3 choices of action.
1- Accept the sale
2- Cancel the sale
3- Cancel the and make the bidder a GUEST
NOTE: only few auction houses use this feature. |
| 12- Total
purchases: is the total amount purchases by a selected
bidder. |
| 13- Paddle#: input
field is used to change the paddle# of a selected bidder. |
| 14- Messages button:
clicking this button will open a small window in order to edit the list of
messages. |
15- List of messages: clicking
on a message in this list makes it appear in the input field below. To
delete a message from the list and from data base, select it and press
the Del key.
Messages that start with a "+" will be sent automatically via a pop
up when the bidder login.
Messages that start with a "." will be part of a set of messages
that are sent on click of the message button located in the panel Selling
Ring( see # 14 ) |
| 16- Input field for message to send:
Type in the message you wish to send or click on a message in the list
of messages. |
| 17- Add button: clicking this button
adds the message contained in the input field to the "list of messages". |
Send followed by 3 radio buttons:
-
Standard: the message will appear
in the bidder’s left panel below the asking amount. If this panel is not
visible the message will pop up. This panel is visible only when there
is a lot being auctioned, it's invisible when the auction has not yet started
or is finished.

Pop Up: the message will appear
in a pop up window.

Need response: the message will
appear in a pop up window containing an input field. The bidder will use
that field to reply to you.

| 18- Permanent radio
button: on click a pop up window will open with 3 inputs zones. 2 input fields
on the left and 1 list on the right. The content of the 2 left fields will be
displayed in the bottom left pane of the bidder applet. The content of the
list will be displayed in the bottom right list of the bidder applet. |
19 and 22- "All Users", "All Bidders for current
lot", "User selected above" clicking one of these
buttons will send the message contained in the input field.

All Users: all logged in users
will receive the message.

All Bidders for the current lot:
all logged in users that placed a bid for the current lot being auctioned
will receive the message. Obviously the On Site bidders and the On Behalf
bidders can't receive messages.

User selected above: only the user
selected in the user list will receive the message.

All Guest Bidders button:
clicking this button will pop up a message box that will ask a confirmation. A
message like ex:"Sorry, we do not accept unapproved bidders at this
time" must be present in the input field(# 16) before the action is
taken. |
| 21- Disable
Future Guest Login check box:
checking this box will pop up a message box that will ask a confirmation in
order to reject unapproved bidders. A message like ex:"Sorry, we do not
accept unapproved bidders at this time" must be present in the input
field(# 16) before the action is taken. |
