| 2- End the Auction button: this
will logout all users. From that point on, bidding is prevented but
the users can still examine the auction data. |
| 3- Log File button: this
will open a web page containing information about parameters, content of
the increments table and other information. |
| 4- Memory? button: this
will pop a page containing information about the memory usage, the java
environment |
| 5- Switch Bidder
Authentication to Local Database button: this will
switch ithe bidder authentication lookup to the local database. This can be
used when the remote computer for bidder authentication is not accessible. |
6- Preload lot
small images locally button: opens a window that will
show the image names that will be loaded into the directory named
"Small" related to the
current event#, images are fetched
in one step via the Internet. This switch could be convenient if the Internet
connection is slow.
Note: this button appear only in the application and not in the applet. |
| 7- Auction Viewer:
on check, the auctioneer application uses the full screen to display the lots
in a manner that can be projected on a large screen so that bidders that
attend the auction physically can view the lots. Show Numbers:
if checked while in Auction Viewer mode,
the bids and Internet usernames will be displayed. Also the asking price will
turn yellow if there are bidders that have
their mouse over their bid button.
If not checked while in Auction Viewer
mode, a red or green line will show at the top of the screen when an Internet
bid arrive. Also at the bottom, a white line will show if there are bidders
that have their mouse over their bid button. Full screen image:
if checked while in Auction Viewer mode,
only images contained in the folder XLarge of the event# will be displayed.
The size of the image can be the size of the screen(minus 15 pixels in
height).
A red or green line will show at the top of the screen when an Internet
bid arrive. Also at the bottom, a white line will show if there are bidders
that have their mouse over their bid button. Note:
images contained in the folder XLarge of the event# will be displayed. If
there are no images found, the software will look into the
"Small" folder of the event#. |

small images: if checked, images are not fetched via the Internet and not
showed into the auctioneer applet. This switch could be convenient if the
Internet connection is slow. |

sound when a new bid arrives. |
| 10- Play
sound when a new user logs in. |
| 11- Current Audio list: if audio is used, you
may select the audio# to be used or select "Audio Off". |
