2- End the Auction button: this will logout all users. From that point on, bidding is prevented but the users can still examine the auction data.

3- Log File button: this will open a web page containing information about parameters, content of the increments table and other information.

4- Memory? button: this will pop a page containing information about the memory usage, the java environment

5- Switch Bidder Authentication to Local Database button: this will switch ithe bidder authentication lookup to the local database. This can be used when the remote computer for bidder authentication is not accessible.

6- Preload lot small images locally button: opens a window that will show the image names that will be loaded into the directory named "Small" related to the current event#, images are fetched in one step via the Internet. This switch could be convenient if the Internet connection is slow.
Note: this button appear only in the application and not in the applet.

7- Auction Viewer: on check, the auctioneer application uses the full screen to display the lots in a manner that can be projected on a large screen so that bidders that attend the auction physically can view the lots.

Show Numbers: if checked while in Auction Viewer mode, the bids and Internet usernames will be displayed. Also the asking price will turn yellow if there are bidders that have their mouse over their bid button.
If not checked while in Auction Viewer mode, a red or green line will show at the top of the screen when an Internet bid arrive. Also at the bottom, a white line will show if there are bidders that have their mouse over their bid button.

Full screen image: if checked while in Auction Viewer mode, only images contained in the folder XLarge of the event# will be displayed. The size of the image can be the size of the screen(minus 15 pixels in height).
A red or green line will show at the top of the screen when an Internet bid arrive. Also at the bottom, a white line will show if there are bidders that have their mouse over their bid button.

Note: images contained in the folder XLarge of the event# will be displayed. If there are no images found, the software will look into the "Small" folder of the event#.

8- Do not load and show lot small images: if checked, images are not fetched via the Internet and not showed into the auctioneer applet. This switch could be convenient if the Internet connection is slow.

9- Play sound when a new bid arrives.

10- Play sound when a new user logs in.

11- Current Audio list: if audio is used, you may select the audio# to be used or select "Audio Off".

1- Pick Currencies button: opens a window that will show a set of currencies that you can select to have an update of the exchange rates.
Note: the list will appear in the bidder applet.

2- Selected currency for conversion: this is the currency that will be used as a conversion in the Auction Viewer mode. To select one, select a currency in the list(see# 13) then hit the enter key in the text field below(see# 12).
Note: this text appear only in the auctioneer application and not in the applet.

3- Max. number .. text field: in the event that you wish to limitate the number of logged bidders, enter a new value.

4- Base Paddle Number text field: Enter the base paddle number to be used in the event that you use the local database for bidders registration.
Note: In remote authentication, the paddle number is sent by the remote server when a bidder login.

5- Include bid and group ... : if checked, the server will write detailed html pages with the description of a group that will be offered for sale. Usually it is uncheck since it could be time consuming when a sale has a fast pace.

6- Notify me by email when a new user registers
Note: In remote authentication, features 6 to 10 will not show.

7- Default Sender: this is the email address that will be used as the sender's address if the user did not specify an email address when he/she registered.
Not using the user's email address as the sender's address has the following implication: when replying to an email notification using your email program, you must not use a Reply because this would reply to this default sender email address (yourself).

8- Recipient: this is the email address where notifications to the auctioneer should be forwarded. It is normally the auctioneer’s email address. Use the full pop account name as you specified it in your mail client program, for example bill@pop.acme.com, not bill@acme.com.
The SMTP server you specify must accept to transfer mail to that address.

9- SMTP server: the host name or IP address of the SMTP server to forward mail to.

10- SMTP port: specify 25.

11- Save Settings button: will send the information contained in this panel to the server.

12- this text field is used to add, delete or update a specific currency.

13- List of currencie(s) that will show in the bidder applet.

14- The current selling currency. That value is set before a new auction is uploaded.

1- Queue Incoming Chat Messages: if checked, incoming messages from other auctioneers will be stored and the list of messages(see# 3) will not be updated. Checking the check box will recall stored messages(if any) and add them to the list.

2- Clear button: clicking will clear the stored messages and the list.

3- List of incoming messages from auctioneers

4- Input text field: By entering a message and pressing the enter key will send the message in the list of all logged auctioneers.

5- Peek Auctioneers button: clicking will request an acknowledge from logged auctioneers. If an auctioneer is logged in his username will appear in the list below.

6- List of logged auctioneer's username(s). If an auctioneer was logged in and logged out the word "ABSENT" will be displayed beside his username.

7- Sound alert when an auctioneer goes out: if checked, a sound will be generated to alert if an auctioneer is logging out.
